Hi, and thanks for your question. These signs could be compatible with an inflammation infection of the gastrointestinal system and surrounding organs (like pancreas and liver). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is immediately essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics and possibly further investigations (like abdominal imaging as ultrasound or radiographs) may be needed. Poor Gordo! I can give a home remedy for him to see if that helps. Withhold food tonight, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Best of luck.

Poor girl. She could just be nauseous from her heat cycle, just like with some people. I would give her some time before coming to any other conclusions. You can try feeding her a bland diet of boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese for a few days. Offer her small amounts at a time, once every 6 hrs. This will help settle her stomach a bit. Also you can offer her small amounts of non-flavored Pedialyte diluted 50:50 with water to keep her from becoming dehydrated. If she is still vomiting with no resolve after 24 hrs, or if she seems severely lethargic, pale gums, or doesn't want to eat, then its best to take her to your local vet for further testing and treatment. I hope that your fur baby is able to get well soon. Best of luck and take care!

Try to entice him to eat by pouring low sodium chicken broth on his food and warming it in the microwave. Be sure to stir it and check for hot spots, like you would a baby's formula. You can offer the chicken broth instead of water to help keep him hydrated or give him unflavored Pedialyte. If he isn't significantly better by morning or if he gets worse, vomits more, develops diarrhea, fever or anything else abnormal, get him in to a vet right away. He may have eaten something that didn't agree with him, but I worry he may have swallowed some non-food item that could be causing an obstruction. Left untreated, an obstruction could be life-threatening.
