I just got a 9week golden retriever puppy bought it off AKC breeder which the puppies condition was really bad had 3pounds of mud and poop stuck to his body. It’s been 3 days and he’s been pooping a yellowish orange non solid . Could it be just anxiety or is it something serious. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 10 days old | 16 lbs

A reputable breeder would not have sold you a puppy in such poor condition. It may be either or a combination of stress due to a new home and illness. Without a physical exam, it is difficult to determine. Since he is "new", he should be seen by a veterinarian anyway to confirm good health or to diagnose and treat any pre-existing conditions. Submit a stool sample to diagnose intestinal parasites or bacterial overgrowth. Any treatment will depend on the diagnosis.
