Why is my dog drooling excessively after waking up from a nap?

My dog was napping and ever since he woke up he has been drooling. This isn’t normal for him. He is a boxer mix, around 5 years of age and was last seen in Late Nov with a great check up. Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 5 years and 4 months old | 60 lbs
