Help, my dog this start what sounds to me like having repeated hiccups or gulping and won't stop licking her lips, she seems fine but its worrying me it's been like this for the last 8 hours. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 6 months old | 20 lbs

These are signs of nausea, she might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 12 hours then offer her boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food. If she continues showing those symptoms or start vomiting, take her to the vet to get treatment.
