Why is my dog sick after a flea bath, peeing a lot, and not eating?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered

I got my dog a flea bath 2 days ago . Yesterday he had 2 accidents (urine) in the house this is somthing he has never done before. We took him out more frequently to help with this and he hasn't had a problem with that. He has however went out and quickly peed alot everytime. Thinking uti we got vitamins to try to help. Today I am worried because hes not his playful self. I gave him a bath again with baby shampoo. He hasn't ate much, has drank alot of water, and isn't playful.

You really should get him seen by a vet. Take the products you used on him with you. He may be having a reaction to it. It is very rare for a male dog to have a true UTI (just like a male human) so I highly doubt that is the problem. Not eating and drinking a lot of water is a problem. Please take him to the vet.
