My dog's rash is wet and oozing after Betadine. Is this normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 2 months old

would also like to know is it normal to have this like my vet prescribed antibiotics along with that told me to apply BETADINE SOLUTION so whenever I clean his rash area at abdomen after cleaning with like warm water I wait for that area to dry and I apply liquid beradine solution but like after 25 minutes or so when I raise his legs up I always find there little wet skin like something oozing then I dry that area with tissue so is this wetness at the affected area normal? When this will go

You should be cleaning the area with Betadine and then rinsing it off. You don't leave the Betadine on the skin. Also, the Betadine needs to be diluted to a weak brown color before using it. You should not be using it full strength.
