Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 3 months old
Rowan spent 7 hours in his crate today (not typical) and when he came out he drank a lot of water, ate and played went potty outside, drank, and then rested with me for a few hours. When I took him outside this last time he had 2 long pees and 2 small ones - he is neutered and doesn’t mark. When we came inside he drank more water. He never pees in multiple spots so I was wondering if this is normal or is it a cause for concern?

I think that's a little hard to know at this point. If the behavior continues or if you start seeing signs of a problem (blood, straining to urinate...etc), I recommend to have Rowan checked for a bladder or prostate infection. I hope this helps.
