My senior dog has a growing belly tumor and trouble moving. What now?

Pet's info: Dog | Shar Pei | Female | unspayed | 11 years and 7 months old | 33 lbs

I have a female Shar Pei dog. From last few months a tumor in her belly is significantly increasing. She is facing problem in moving. She's almost 12 years old now. What should be done now? Please help.

She should be physically examined by your veterinarian. A fine needle aspirate or biopsy can be done to collect samples for pathology. This may provide a diagnosis. Even if the mass is benign, removal should be considered due to its size and location. Her age should not be a factor as long as her physical exam and blood work are normal.
