My cat has urinary issues. What can I do until her vet appointment?

My cat is showing symptoms of urinary issues. She has been frequently trying to urinate but sometimes nothing comes out or it is very little and had a couple accidents outside of the litter box. I am unable to get an appointment at the vet for about a week. I want to know if there is anything i can do to offer her some relief or potentially fix the issue before our vet appointment. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 9 months old | 6 lbs

While there is nothing I'd recommend doing at home I do think it might be best to see your vet sooner - I'm wondering if a drop off appointment might be an option. If not you may even want to consider seeing an emergency veterinarian. While it is unlikely that a female cat will develop a urethral obstruction a week is a long time for her to be uncomfortable from a urinary tract infection or inflammation.
