My balcony pigeon chicks died. Was it sickness or heartbreak?

Hello, we had a pigeon couplr making up a nest in our balcony. We occasionally gave them food and the children grew up. Then the parents laid 2 more eggs and those chicks grew as well but suddenly one died and was left in the nest next to it's sibling. We didn't know what to do and left it there and suddenly this morning the other chick is also dead. My mother thinks it's because of a 'heartbreak' of being without a sibling and having it corps next to it. Can it be? Or is it a sickness that both

I hate to hear about the passing of the baby birds. Even though they aren't true 'pets' it's so enjoyable to watch them grow. Most likely the chicks passed away due to parasites, an infection or an malnutrition. Mother nature is tough and it's true that only the strongest survive.
