Repost: My cat has been diagnosed with a stomach virus. He was given the following: Ulcogant Vitamin C 500mg Meloxicam 2.5mg Doxycycline 100mg And Glucose water He is only 4 months and over the night he developed cloudy eyes. Is there any way to reduce the cloudy eyes or get rid of it? This is the only picture I have at the moment.

The cloudy ares are concerning. The vet needs to examine the eyes with an ophthalmoscope. We can't really tell much from the photo. I can tell you it is not normal and may be an immune mediated response. It could also be uveitis from a virus. I don't want to second guess your vet as I was not there to examine him but the treatment does not sound appropriate for a stomach virus and if those are the actual doses you are giving they sound very high.

Upper respiratory infections can be of bacterial or viral origin or both. Cloudy, inflammed, and runny eyes in a kitten is a symptom of a viral respiratory infection like herpes, calici, or chlamydia virus. Oftentimes there symptoms will resolve with appropriate supportive care, which it sounds like Chester is already receiving. If the eye looks severe you may consider taking him back to the vet to have it checked because a corneal ulceration can for and will need to be treated. I'm sorry you're having to go through all this with your new kitten but it sounds like you are on the right track. Good luck.
