My cat won't eat, vomited clear liquid, X-ray normal. What's next?

Hi, my cat hasn’t been eating for 2.5 days now. I took him to the vet yesterday and they stated they didn’t see anything abnormal in the X-ray. No fever. He was vomiting clear liquid. They gave him anti nausea medication and sent him home. He is still refusing to eat. Any other possible reasons this may be?

I would recommend blood work and an abdominal ultrasound. The ultrasound will be able to evaluate the gastrointestinal tract much better and can sometimes find foreign bodies that the x-rays can't. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
