This can be pus coming from the gum (an abscess) or possibly just food stuck there. I would recommend to try gently to remove it and if firmly attached to the gum I would recommend to have him checked by your vet immediately.

Yikes! This will sound silly, and maybe you've already tried this, but does it wipe off? Sometimes a slobbery and 1/2 chewed piece of dry dog kibble can get smooshed onto a tooth and have this appearance. If it does not wipe off, make an appointment with your vet at your first convenience (not an emergency as long as she's eating and acting ok, but try to get her in sometime in the next week). I'm concerned that it is a mass on the gum tissue. It could be a benign mass that's not terribly worrisome, or it could be malignant. Your vet may recommend anesthesia to remove it and submit it for histopathology, so it can be determined whether or not it is problematic. Left untreated, it will likely get larger and be at risk for infection, bleeding, and pain, even if it is a benign mass. Have it checked out if it doesn't wipe right off !
