My dog has bumps under his nose skin. Is it an allergy or fleas?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 1 month old | 95 lbs

My dog has bumps on his nose but they feel like they are underneath his skin. What could this be?

This is probably caused by an allergic reaction. first of all make sure you de-flea Zeus regularly every month with a high quality spot on (ex. Advantage) as fleas are by far the most common reason for these reactions. If the fleas are not the problem, it could be an allergic reaction to food or an environmental factor. this is more complicated to treat and will sometimes require medications such as Steroids, anti histamines or Apoquel in order to stop the allergy.

    Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Bumps that appear suddenly under the skin sound a lot like hives which is an indication of an allergic reaction. There may be other causes as well such as a bacterial infection. I would recommend Ty see a veterinarian right away. If they are hives, Ty will need a steroid and antihistamine injection or other medications as necessary.
