My dogs tied. Is clear liquid after mating normal during breeding?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 10 months old | 55 lbs

I’m breeding my female dog and I have a stud here and they tied together for 10 mins but when they untied a bunch of clear liquid came out all over the floor is that normal ?

Hello. Yes, that is perfectly normal. There is a fair amount of accessory fluids that are produced during the mating interval & some may spill after the dogs uncouple. Do not worry & thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

    If she will allow, you can hold her until he has mounted. The only concern for injury is if she starts moving or pulling away during the tie. The clear liquid was likely the first stage of his ejaculate. Don't worry, there is little to no sperm in this portion.
