My dog's nose is crooked and sunken after a fall. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Great Pyrenees | Female | spayed | 5 years and 1 month old | 80 lbs

I was playing with my dog and she landed on the side of her face, her nose is now crooked/uneven. She doesn't whimper when I touch it, but she has been sneezing alot. It's hard to tell in the pictures but the left side looks like it has been pushed in. We gave her some dog pain meds (left over from a previous injury) and her sneezing has stopped.

It is difficult to appreciate any swelling or crookedness of the nose in these photos but I do think I see a sunken in area that you are referring to on the left side of the face. It is really best to have her examined by your vet in person so they can feel that area and see it in person.
