To keep him from licking at it, you can put an Ecollar on him. You can get one at a pet store or make one at home. Keep the wound clean and dry, and monitor it for signs of infection. I would not apply neosporin as if licked it can cause digestive upset for Archie. I would however, still clean it up with the saline solution, and monitor the site for any swelling, open wounds, etc. You can also use a warm compress a few times a day to help reduce any swelling as needed. If the area remains red even after care, continues to swell, or is painful or oozing debris, then scheduling a recheck with your vet is best.

It is not a good idea to put hydrocortisone on a cut as it will HINDER healing and help bacteria infect the cut. Please wipe that off again. There is also no need for lidocaine (a local anesthetic). Unless the skin is cut all the way through (as I have described in your first question), you do not have to put anything on the cut, just let it scab over and heal by itself.

This doesn't appear to be severely swollen enough to house a cuterebra; however the picture can only tell so much detail of this area. However if a scab was originally there then chances are this is just an old puncture wound that is trying to heal. I wouldn't put any ointment on this, just make sure the area stays clean. Topical Betadine diluted 50:50 with warm water can be used to antiseptically clean the area as needed. Keep an eye on it for the next few days as most wounds take 7-10 days total or heal. If it starts draining, starts smelling, appears swollen, or bothers Archie then it's best to get it looked at by your local vet at that time. Ouch! In some cases where wounds are on areas that can't be closed by suturing or are constantly being agitated, keeping the wound covered to prevent increasing infection/debris from entering the wound may be needed. I've seen success with using manuka honey for treating large infected wounds and increasing healing, (usually with bandage changes every 12-24 hours) as well as using hydrocolloid bandages that protect the area by acting as a sort of skin barrier, allowing the wound to breathe but continue to heal/allow for new tissue growth underneath without allowing debris into it. There is also progress being made with using fish-skin bandages to create another fake skin barrier and allow healing underneath. If you're not currently, I'd recommend speaking with a veterinary dermatologist who can better instruct you in these procedures and monitor progress over time.
