Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Male | neutered | 3 years and 1 month old | 120 lbs
120 lbs male Great Dane has an abrasion and a small tear in his chest, size is smaller than a dime. It's not bleeding, just leaking some fluid. Is it safe to use a lidocaine patch prescribed to me, on this small wound?

No this is not safe to do. I would gently clean Archie's wound with warm water and antiseptic soap. To keep him from licking at it, you can put an Ecollar on him. You can get one at a pet store or make one at home. Keep the wound clean and dry, and monitor it for signs of infection. If you see redness, swelling, warmth to the touch, or pus, then it is infected and he will need to see the vet for antibiotics to treat it.
