Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed
I have 2 rescue dogs with a less than stellar background. The smaller of the two is very anxious on our bedtime potty trips. We have worked with her a lot and have made a lot of progress, but, recently, a teenager on a skateboard startled her. Now, if anyone walks past us, she shakes and tries to pull her way back to the house. Most times, her sister isn't able to go potty before this happens. They are bonded to the point where they cannot be separated for walks. How can I help her?

Consider a pheromone product, such as the Adaptil collar, to help decrease any anxiety. Next, expose her to a "new" person forever increasing periods of time. Praise and reward her as she progresses. It will take time and consistency, so keep at it but don't force her to move on if she gets too worked up.
