My kitten is suddenly inactive and won't play. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 3 lbs

My kitten won’t play with toys anymore and isn’t as active. Will just stare at the floor and won’t move. Likes to cuddle, has been eating and pooping, but I don’t know what’s wrong.

It's very hard to know what is wrong based on these very general symptoms, I would expect a kitten this age to want to play all the time so you are right to be worried, my recommendation would be to have him checked by your vet ASAP
