My rejected lamb is breathing heavy and in pain when bottle feeding.

Question

4 day old lamb rejected by mother seems to have got hurt possibly as now collapses or seems to be in pain whenever sucking bottle. Lamb is very small and can hear heavy quick breathing. We don’t know if she has hurt her stomach or what to do? Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Female | unspayed | 3 days old

Hello. My concern would be that this lamb has pneumonia, a common problem with rejected neonates. You will need to contact a veterinarian to see if this is the case & get little Maize on a proper course of antibiotics.
