Should I wait to spay my dog after her first heat cycle?

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | unspayed | 1 year old | 45 lbs

Can i spay my dog after her first heat? she’s one year old and she went into heat and her spay is scheduled for feb 19.

Since she just completed a heat cycle, you should wait 2-4weeks before the procedure. This will limit bleeding and decrease risk of complications associated with spaying a female in heat or just out of heat.
