My mouse spins in circles. Is it a health or behavior issue?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Mouse | Female | 1lb

I recently bought my mouse from the store and she doesn't stop going in clockwise circles. She'll stop to eat food, but then continues on her spin. I've isolated her just in case it could be infectious to my other mouse. Is it just behavioral or could it be a health concern?

I would monitor her for a week or so for development of further signs and would have her checked by a vet, but if she seems otherwise healthy this sounds like a stereotypy which is a repeated behaviour.
