Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 11 months and 16 days old
Hi there. We have a 11 month female cat that’s a grazer at home. Our in town clinic has a male kitten up for adoption. My sister works there and they need him 1/4 cup dry twice a day and he scarfs it down. Our cat gets 1 1/2 cup so there’s always found for her to have. We are worried that the new kitten will try to eat her food and she won’t get any. Is this just because he gets only a little amount? Could he become more of a grazer?

He could adjust with time, however if he doesn't there are RFID feeders that have a chip that attaches to your cat's collar, and only lets that cat into the feeder. You may want to use this on your older cat who grazes so that she can get to her food as needed, while the kitten can't, and keep to his stricter feeding schedule.
