I’m guessing it was a plastic wrapper - if it was small then it would probably pass without any problems. If it is larger then it might cause vomiting, diarrhea or even an obstruction. I’d recommend seeing your veterinarian if Ozzy vomits, develops diarrhea or has a decrease in appetite.

Well if it was a large amount you may want to take her to a veterinarian and induce vomiting. This may or may not be successful. If it is not successful, then I usually monitor for a few days to make sure they pass the object. If any vomiting, diarrhea, or inappetance occurs then that warrants another exam and possible x-rays to look for an obstruction. Hopefully it never comes to that. Good luck with Lola!

Sometimes it can get caught in the throat and cause coughing and irritation. Other times it passes to the stomach with no problems. As far as exiting her, it depends on if it was chewed or how large of a piece went down. The smaller pieces will pass not trouble at all. If it was whole then it may pass but does have potential cause an obstruction or GI upset such as vomiting or diarrhea. Keep her food and water routine the same and monitor for any symptoms. If she stops eating or has vomiting or diarrhea, then I would get her checked
