Pet's info: Dog | American Bully | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 2 months old | 65 lbs
My dog had this sudden growth on her back about 1.5 weeks ago. It stopped growing for a while but has grown a bit the past few days. I wanted to see if this could be something that should resolve on its own or something requiring me to take her to the vet for treatment.

This looks like it could be a histiocytoma or a sebaceous cyst but it is very difficult to tell much just by looking at some photos. It is not an emergency but it is best to have your vet check her out.

This looks like it could be a cyst. It might also be some other type of skin growth. If it is growing there might be more concern that it is something serious and it would be best to see your vet. If it does not seem to bother Luci and is not increasing in size it would probably be okay to wait a bit before seeing your vet.

Hi, and thanks for your question. Although a picture of it would help to give you more specific answers, this lump/growth should be ideally examined by your veterinarian to have a definitive diagnosis. Your vet will examine it and possibly perform with an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy. Differentials would include skin cyst, infections or benign or malignant type of tumors (very unlikely given her age).
