My cat has bloody nose and eyes. What should I do, is it contagious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered

I went outside to feed my cats as they stay outside and one of them has a bloody nose and bloody eyes. I’m not sure what to do especially if it’s contagious. I don’t want the others to get sick.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your Morris. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian. He could have a severe upper respiratory tract infection or he may have sustained injuries from a cat fight. Rarely, cats can develop a bleeding disorder that will result in blood coming from a body opening. The veterinarian will examine him and determine how best to help him. I hope this information helps!
