Can I separate my two goldfish? One would still be with other fish.

I’ve had two goldfish for about four years. Is it ok to separate them? They are currently housed with bullhead catfish, so the one I would keep wouldn’t be alone. Pet's info: Fish | Gold Fish

Thanks for reaching out. There is lots of discussion in the veterinary community on whether fish should be kept alone. Goldfish are school animals, so housing together would likely provide psychological advantages. Good luck.
