The paws need to be separated here and then the skin in between the toes looked at more closely. This could just be mud that has accumulated here, or it could be lick stains and infection in between the toes. Try separating the toes and if he skin appears red, there is an odor, or moist debris, then there is an infection, which is likely caused by allergies. Your vet can talk to you about allergy treatment for Rita moving forward if that is the case. Until you can get her seen by your vet, you can certainly soak the paws in a Betadine bath mixed 50:50 with warm water to help reduce the inflammation, irritation and infection in between the paws. I hope that Rita's feet resolve soon! Best of luck and take care.
