My dog's eye swelling after tooth removal and antibiotics: will it go?

Hi my dog had a big swelling under his eye which the vet has removed the teeth and is on antibiotics the lump has got a lot smaller in time on the antibiotics will it go?

It should resolve with the treatment described. If not, recheck with your veterinarian. If it is an abscess, it may need to be lanced and drained. You should also confirm the entire tooth and roots has been removed. A bit of tooth root left behind may cause infection.

    If Gucci had a skin infection the swelling could take some time to resolve. If you have already finished antibiotics and the swelling is not completely gone I'd recommend making a recheck appointment with your veterinarian. It is possible that he needs antibiotics for a longer period of time, or that some more testing needs to be performed to determine what the swelling is.
