My dog is confused learning "down" command. Treats not working?

Hello, I am trying to train my dog Winston down (or settle), but he acts like he is confused and clueless. No matter what treats I use, he doesn't seem to understand. I even looks in expert training books, but nothing is working. Can you help me? Pet's info: Dog | Maltipoo | Male | neutered | 1 year and 4 months old | 23 lbs

You really should consult with a local, professional dog trainer. It sounds like you are trying but you are probably giving him the wrong signals. That is not something that we can easily help with via the internet. The trainer needs to see you and Winston in person and then help you to make adjustments. That is going to be the easiest and least frustrating way to handle this.
