My dog suddenly yelps, barks, and refuses to walk. Is he in pain?

Hiya, my dog has always been a highly energetic and highly anxious fella. We walk everyday however for the past three days now we have only gotten a block before he starts yelping, barking and trying to turn around to go home. He’s a small schnauzer/poodle cross, however each time he’s done this he has pulled so hard that I have no choice to turn back around. He seems excited every time we get ready for a walk. I recommend to have Banjo examined by the veterinarian. This behavior sounds like something is hurting him though high anxiety could also look like this. The problem is that Banjo cannot talk and tell you what he is feeling so you need to have him examined to make sure it's not pain. Pain could be anywhere in his body but common conditions include a disc problem in the neck/spine, a pinched nerve or pancreatitis. After the physical exam, the doctor will have a better idea of what to do next. I hope this helps.
