Dog's lips bleeding, wet then dry scabs. What could it be?

Hello, my dog has these on his lips , it looks like bleeding but it comes and goes.it gets wet and then dry up to look like this, can you tell me what it is and what can i do? Thank you in advance. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 7 years and 8 months old | 83.3 lbs

Hello, sorry to hear about Enzo. It looks like the lips have inflammation which is likely associated with a small reaction to something in his environment. This could be consistent with environmental allergies some form of topical allergies. This is likely self limiting, however, some dogs need oral antibiotics to treat secondary infections. I would recommend having Enzo evaluated by his veterinarian so that they could treat this. Hope this helps and best of luck.
