Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 1 year and 3 months old

my dog used to have demodectic mange and we have been giving her bathes and treating her skin but she is still losing fur. she only has fur on her back, head, paws, and her tail (a nubby actully because she was born without a tail) she has some patches of fur on her legs and neck but other than that its all black spots and pint skin. do you think you could help?

I recommend to confirm it is demodex mange with your veterinarian. Off label treatments with some of the oral flea preventatives can help. Also, if she is not spayed, it will be very hard to get rid of the mites. I recommend to have Blonca spayed if this is not already done as there are many health and behavioral benefits. It will also help prevent puppies which will help with the extreme problem of over population. https://www.petcoach.co/article/spaying-ovariohysterectomy-the-benefits-in-dogs/ I hope this helps.
