My dog has continuous seizures, no money for vet. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 28 days old | 55 lbs

My dog Luna has been having seizures all day they started at 2am and are still going, time is currently 5:42. I don’t have money to take her to the vet or have the money to put her down. I’ve trued everything I can to get her to snap out of it. Her meds, cbd treats, cold water, being in the rain, I can’t get them to stop. What should I do?

The only way to stop them at this point are intravenous anti-seizure drugs. Luna will need to be seen by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER. Discuss payment plans or alternative financing options, such as CareCredit ( www.carecredit.com ), with the veterinarian or office manager. You can also ask family or friends to assist you financially. I am sorry you are in this situation and hope for the best for you and Luna.
