Why is my dog in pain and whining after eating different foods?

Pet's info: Dog | American Staffordshire Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 years and 3 months old | 79 lbs

my dog in pain like a half hour after he eats suppose to be on pro plan vetniarine EN but switched to pro plan sensitive skin and stomach like the last month have had him on couple different foods, today fed him boiled chicken and rice going to feed him that until get paid on 3rd then back to one of pro plans, did have fleas and got steroid shot about 2 weeks ago have been giving zantac 2 daily Dr said to do but still in pain very uncomfortable, quietly whinning after eating why?

Hello. First, make sure Hercules is not receiving any treats or unapproved table scrapes, only his dog food. It sounds like he may be developing some gas pains after eating & unless you go to a specific hypoallergenic diet, or a diet with a hydrolyzed protein, you might just try adding a probiotic to his feed daily. There are a couple made specifically for dogs, like FortiFlora & Proviable, but you can start with Culturelle, a human probiotic that is wildly available. Give this a week or two & see if it helps.
