New bird quarantine: Is my existing bird already exposed to illness?

so I have had jet vac for about 4 months now and I just bought a new bird last week. I've kept them in separate cages since I got her but I heard that they should be in separate rooms. I've had the new bird for 4 days now. is it to late to move her case she is sick or would my other already have anything she might have? Pet's info: Bird | Parakeet | Male | unneutered

Thanks for reaching out. Quarantining new acquisitions is recommended for a 30 day period. The further separated the better. New birds should be assessed by a veterinarian to determine health prior to introduction. Diet and husbandry practices can be reviewed at this time. Good luck.
