Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | spayed | 7 years and 1 month old | 16 lbs
My 7-year-old shih tzu has been vomiting up her food most nights, completely undigested. This has been going on for about 3 months now. I've taken her to the vet and they don't seem concerned but they didn't run any tests either. She has had x-rays for back pain but they don't seem related. What could it be?

I recommend to have some diagnostics. If your vet seems unwilling to do this, I recommend to get a second opinion. Chronic vomiting is not normal and can indicate many things including an ulcer in the stomach, a foreign object in the stomach, a tumor in the stomach, GI parasites, inflammatory bowel disease or even something like kidney disease. It's always best to catch any of these conditions earlier in the disease process. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
