My dog has sniffles and blood came out of his nose. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Male | neutered | 10 years and 1 month old | 18 lbs

My Jack Russell, Finnegan has had the sniffles since yesterday and about an hour ago, he sniffled and blood came out. I came up to my room and there was some blood on my bed/blanket.

Poor guy! I"m sorry to hear that. It may be that he just has some significant inflammation of the nasal cavity that resulted in the bleeding. It could be that he has a nasal foreign body (such as a grass seed, etc) up there, or a nasal tumor. Take him in to see your vet. As long as its not continuing to bleed, then its not an emergency, but get him in as soon as you can. Thanks for asking Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
