My dog ate hemp hand cream. Is it toxic? What symptoms to look for?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | unspayed

Hello my dog consumed a small amount of a hemp hand cream made of BODYSHOP about an hour ago. I will attached a screenshot with the ingredients list and I would like to know if I need to be worried about poisoning. She don’t have any symptoms yet. Furthermore I would like any advise of how to stop her eating plastic pieces and other things cause she always steal something new for chewing and consuming. Thank you in advance!

Fortunately none of this looks toxic, but I think you might see some vomiting or diarrhea from the oils. There unfortunately much to do to prevent a dog from chewing on plastic, other than preventing access by keeping plastic things away.
