Why is my cat twitching its ear, shaking head, and growling in pain?

I have a 7 year old cat, breed is unknown. We have been gone for about a week and when we got back he has been acting different. He is twitching his right ear then he will shake his head and growl. He will also do this when we looks to the right. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 7 years and 8 months old
