Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 15 lbs
I have a 9 week old puppy that I got from an animal shelter. Possible hernia above incision when spayed. Also my thoughts could be the umbilical hernia. Can you please give me any insight of some symptoms or things to look out for also she has a wheezing cough. She's very playful and red boxes although when she sleeps she sleeps pretty hard and the reason I'm asking all this is because in the past few hours her sleep looks seems different.her eyes seem lethargic

It sounds like this is probably an umbilical hernia if it is above the spay incision. If the hernia is large and changes in size there could be risk of organs becoming entrapped in the space - pain and vomiting would be the two most common symptoms. If it is small or if it closed around a small amount of fat then there may not be any concern. A hernia shouldn't be related to a wheezing cough - this could be a sign of kennel cough or other respiratory infections, and if it continues I'd recommend having Harley examined by your vet.
