My cat attacked my hamster. Her neck is wet. What should I do?

Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Female

My hamster escaped in the middle of the night from her cage..I love my hamster so much, I also love my cat so much...so when I woke up this morning my hamster was running loose in the house...I went to pick her up and she was extremely jumpy and her neck was soaking wet...obviously my cat had gotten to my hamster in some way...my hamster is back on her cage and acting normal except when you touch her neck she jumps dramatically. Their are no blood or visible injuries and she is eating normal.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Twinkie. I recommend that she see a veterinarian today. Cat bite wounds can be hard to see, but can cause significant damage to a small animal such as a hamster. Twinkie will be at risk for an infection if she was bit. I hope this information helps!
