Why is my dog lethargic, not eating, biting, and breathing strangely?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | 13 years old | 12 lbs

My dog became lethargic, won’t eat (except for treats, won’t drink, and bites me when I pick her up. She is panting and breathing funny as well. What is happening?

Hello, sorry to hear about Polli. It sounds like she is very uncomfortable. This is can be caused by many things, but most commonly associated with abdominal pain for pancreatitis or from back pain due to a slipped disk. I would recommend having Polli evaluated soon to discern between these conditions and get her treated appropriately. Please monitor her for any vomiting, diarrhea, or worsening pain (whining or crying) and have her evaluated sooner if you note any of these, Hope this helps and best of luck.
