Harness cut puppy's muscle. Can she heal or should I put her down?

My family went out of town for a few days, we had put a harness on our puppy, I guess in those couple days we was gone she had tried to take harness off, it got stuck and cut through her muscle. We was wondering on what the best way to help her or if we should put her down or if she can heal. Thank you so much. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 6 months and 10 days old | 40 lbs

Hello, sorry to hear about yo puppy. No you should not put her down for this. This will heal with some antibiotics and surgery. Please have her evaluated by her veterinarian so that they may help her heal this. Don’t leave your puppy unattended with her harness as they can always cause skin lacerations if dogs are pulling too hard on them.
