I have a 16 or 17 year old male neutered rescued/ adopted cat. He’s down to skin and bones but still gets around quite well .( blind in one eye) He vomits up his meals frequently, and He’s starting to poop outside the box ( there have been no changes to the litter box location or litter or otherwise) it doesn’t seem like a very fun or comfortable life any longer . I want to have him humanely euthanized. Am I wrong to go this direction ? we feed him blue adult - chicken and brow rice

I'm sorry to hear that your kitty isn't doing well. Before considering euthanasia, I would recommend taking him to the vet for an exam and some basic lab work to find out what is causing these issues. Some problems, such as hyperthyroidism, are very treatable with medication once a diagnosis is made.
