My dog started furosemide for fluid. Is not eating a side effect?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cavachon | Male | neutered

Dog has started furosemide tablets for fluid build up, has not been eating properly since which is very out of character for him (eating a 1/4 of his usual food amount which he usually eats all of). Concerned due some of the side effects of furosemide

It could be a side effect or it could indicate the fluid is still in his chest. I recommend to call his veterinarian who can advise you best. They may want to examine Frodo again or they may recommend a medication adjustment or even something to help the stomach. I hope this helps.
