My dog's fatty lump is bleeding and painful. How can I soothe it?

Pet's info: Dog | English Mastiff | Male | neutered | 10 years old | 84 lbs

My 10 yr old mastiff i rescued less than a month ago he has a fatty lump above his leg it started bleeding forthe first time last night so i took him to a vet today...they shaved the fur and they put him on am antibiotic but his skin looks awful and painful. Anything i can do to help sooth it??

make sure Zeus cannot lick or scratch the area. He may need to wear an elizabethan collar at all times or a shirt if he wants to scratch it. Otherwise I recommend to leave it alone. You want the lesion to stay dry and to be open to the air. The medication will make him feel better quickly. I hope he heals up fast. Please feel free to post any additional questions.
