My dog ate garlic naan and has diarrhea. Is garlic toxic for dogs?

Hi I’m not sure what to do as I have gave my dog a little bit of garlic nan and she has had diarrhoea

There may be another problem here as garlic is toxic to dogs. The diarrhea is likely from the naan, but depending on how much garlic it had, it can cause other serious problems like anemia. I'd have Bella seen by a vet now to get checked out.

i was eating garlic knots and the topping of garlic fell on the floor and she ate some of it. what will happen?
If the topping was mostly parmesean cheese that had been cooked with garlic, it is unlikely to be toxic. If the topping was pure garlic, a small amount ingested by a dog would probably not cause issues, but to be on the safe side, I would recommend that you have Bella Roca examined by a veterinarian. Your vet may recommend that she have some baseline bloodwork and IV fluids for support. Alternatively, you can call the Pet Poison Helpline for consultation. My dog ate half a garlic bread naan. I've read garlic is toxic for dogs. He is a great Dane, weighs 56kg. And probably ate a hand size of the bread. Should I be worried? Thanks.
This is likely not enough garlic to pose a serious risk of toxicity. At worst, you may see some mild stomach upset. Withhold food for 24 hours and feed a bland diet in small, frequent amount until symptoms resolve.

Harvey just eat a bit of garlic pizza,would anything happen to him
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Harvey. Garlic is toxic to dogs as it damages red blood cells. However, there was not a likely a lot on the pizza he ate if it was just flavoring on the crust. If there were whole cloves though, this would be more worrisome. Either way, it is safest for him to see his veterinarian. I hope this information helps!

I am sorry to hear about Snickers! Luckily an ingestion of this size is not a real concern for toxicity, so I would not worry about him eating this tiny piece of garlic bread. Garlic and onions can be toxic, but we only see these effects when ingested in large amounts.

My dog ate some of my bread with roughly 1 teaspoon of crushed garlic in it. She is a mastiff x ridgeback and is roughly 45kg. Is this poisonous?
Given Roxy's weight and the amount she ate, it may not be toxic to her, but as little as a clove of garlic can prove to be toxic to dogs. I would monitor her for signs of toxicity, which include drooling, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, abdominal pain, increased heart rate, weakness, exercise intolerance, collapse, and pale gums. It can take up to a couple of days for signs of garlic toxicity to show, so I monitor her for at least four days. If she shows any signs of toxicity, take her into a vet immediately. In the future, I would make sure Roxy doesn't eat anything with garlic in it.

Typically that small amount of garlic would not hurt bells. It is possible she just has a mild upset stomach. I would recommend giving her a probiotic with boiled chicken and white rice for 12-24 hours. If her soft stool does not resolve I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian to make sure she does not have a virus,parasites or infectious disease

Fatty foods like hummus can definitely cause GI upset and diarrhea, even without the garlic. I would keep an eye on Amorie, and if the diarrhea doesn't resolve in a few days, or she seems to be getting worse, bring her into the vet, especially if there was also a large amount of garlic in the food. Sometimes, fatty foods can cause issues such as pancreatitis which can lead to symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, tender belly, blood in the vomit or stool, etc, which should be seen by a vet.

My dog is experiencing non frequent yellow/orange stool that is runny, and it seems like he can’t control when it happens. He did get into some chicken from the trash that had soy sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder on it. Should I be concerned?
Garlic powder could be extremely toxic especially if combined with onion powder which is toxic as well. Signs can start with gastrointestinal diarrhoea and vomiting but develop in more severe ones like anemia. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm/rule out these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics may be needed. My chihuahua ate garlic butter last night and threw up overnight a white vomit. This morning she went outside and started eating some leaves off of my begonias. Should I be worried?
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! How much this can affect her will depend on how much she ate. However, garlic and butter both can affect her in different ways, especially by causing gastrointestinal symptoms like the vomiting. If you think she ate a large amount, she should be evaluated right away as that can be a significant toxicity. Also, begonias are very toxic to dogs sometimes resulting in kidney failure so if she ate any, she should be evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
