Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | neutered | 2 years and 7 months old | 134 lbs
hello, when my dog was a puppy he had lymes disease. he is now 3 1/2 years old and is showing similar signs to what he had when he was a puppy, the vet did a blood test and it came back negative. Could he have a flare up of his lymes? and would that show up on a test if it were just a flare up? also, this happened to him last october too, so in my gut im saying a lymes flare up but they will not give me a direct answer. thank you.

Lyme flare ups don't really occur once the pet has been successfully treated for and removal of the bacteria. However, the pet can have long lasting changes in the joints, in particular the cartilage, that have left degenerative changes there causing early arthritis. Moving forward, I would suggest getting x-rays done on Rebel to look for evidence of joint disease if he is having lameness problems. Also I am unsure what specific signs your pet is displaying since you didn't mention it in your question, so I assume your pet is having limping/lameness symptoms. If not, then please repost your question with more details concerning his current symptoms, so that we can give you more suggestions moving forward. Best of luck moving forward with your pet Rebel. Take care.
