Hello, my name is michael. I have a 4 year old german Shepherd. She's the best thing that has ever happened to me! Just recently she's been acting weird. I thought she was on her period but we figured out she's been biting her nails and has been bleeding from them. Then about 5 days ago she ripped the floor up in our laundry room. She made a huge mess. She has never done that and we is pretty used to being in there for a while at times. She has food and fresh water every time she is in there. We

Hi there. If these things are happening while you're not home, I would be very concerned that she may have separation anxiety. Destructive behavior and/or injuring their toenails or teeth are very common signs of this problem. You can set up a video camera to record her the next time you leave the house. If she seems anxious or upset, then I would strongly recommend getting in touch with a behavior professional who can help you work on this in person, such as a veterinary behaviorist.
